  2. Sell cars, dude.

As many cars as I've bought at such a young age, I've sworn to myself I would never, ever be a car salesman after some of my experiences. But it's looking more and more like a sweet job at times. An Acura dealership I know of is starting salesman off at $42K a year plus bonuses/incentives. That's $3,500/month right off the bat. The way things are going in papers now, I don't think I'd ever see myself making that much.

I seem to become more attached to the idea of newspapers the worse things get. I have no idea why. I kind of like the idea of "going down with the ship." Is that weird?

  4. Not in the least. It's the job we wanted to do ... a dream job for many, including myself. I still can't imagine myself doing anything else.

i just saw this so i thought i'd throw in: if anyone plans a career in law enforcement, be sure you can pass a lie detector. they'll ask about anything ... drugs, affairs, breaking the law, drugs.

if you can pass a lie detector, and you have a four-year degree, the fbi is hiring.

Are the answers confidential? Can I be charged with anything if I admit to it?

maybe it's better in your neck of the woods but with the economy in suckitude, i'd be surprised if any car dealer was starting sales people at $42k unless the vast majority of that is commission. i'd be leery of their employment sales pitch.

NCAA usually has jobs listed that COSIDA doesn't. There are also marketing jobs on there.
