The only way Mike Mussina gets in the Hall of Fame is buy paying the $12 it takes to get in. Hall of Fame my fucking ass.

    Damn skippy.

93Devil, why did you add ducking after Rivera's name?

Not after the condescending way he has treated writers throughout his career.

Oh, The Sandman is in the Hall. I was ducking for the trio I mentioned.

    Lets see...

    0 World Series Rings
    0 no-hitters
    0 20-win seasons

    300 wins? Nope

    Dickhead? Yep

Hall of Fame? I'm sure it's a hell of a scenic drive from Bumblefuck, Pa, to more northern Bumblefuck, NY.

Crazy talk. In what way does Morris > Glavine in any meaningful way, besides complete games? It's not even a contest.

    Glavine/Morris
    W- 303/254 - edge TG
    L- 199/186 - edge JM
ERA- 3.51/3.90 (vs. league ERAs of 4.16/4.08 -- that's right; Glavine's NL was tougher than Morris' AL) - edge TG
    ERA+- 119/105 - edge TG
    CG- 56/175 - edge JM
    SHO- 25/28 - edge JM
    IP - 4350/3824 - edge TG
    GS - 669/527 - edge TG
    WHIP - 1.309/1.296 - edge JM
    K/BB - 1.76/1.78 - edge JM

And yes, Glavine's postseason ERA, in 218 IP, is almost a half-run lower than Morris', in just 92 IP. And Glavine's one-hitter = Morris' 10-inning shutout, as far as clutch World Series-clinching performances. So Morris doesn't even have that to hang his hat on.

    Not even close.

But Morris won the most games of anyone in the eighties ... (insert other trivial stats here)

Buck, those stats are great and all, but also take into account Glavine has played four more years than Morris did. You can drop his IP by at least 800 and his GS by at least 100. That would also force down his other stats, which would make it closer than the stats lead you to believe between the two.
