Winnipeg's mayor says he doesn't think the Coyotes are moving, but the Thrashers are in the mix since a local buyer hasn't stepped up in the few years the team has been on the market.

The league is trying to rework the deal to lower the sale price or defer payments.

Glendale sent a bill for $25 million in losses the city promised to cover. I believe the money is in escrow.

As excited as I have been at times about the thought of Winnipeg getting the Jets back, I really just want this whole fucking issue to be over and done with. Coyotes? Thrashers? Anyone? Bueller? I'm almost to the point where I will no longer give a shit.

Glendale City Council to vote on another $25 million one-year deal to keep the team in town. It's a time-buying move more than anything else.

Just hand the billionaires a few more dozen million dollars of tax money. That'll fix everything.

Glendale should have just paid Hulsizer the $100 million from its infrastructure fund instead of selling bonds. The city would save money in the long run from not paying interest on the bonds, plus not having to shell out $25 million to cover the team's losses last season, plus the paying $25 million more this year.

Financially that might have made more sense, but I think it blatantly would have defied state law, whereas the ridiculous system they're working through here may not.

The Coyotes lost 36 million dollars last year, honestly, I don't care what happens but please make this stop.
