They should start over, new name, new colors, logo, etc.

I know we've joked about it around here but what DID happen to the Queen's portrait?

Yeah, I tried to find the answer online and found that the name/logo are either owned by the NHL or by the guy who sold the team when it moved to Phoenix -- nothing definitive either way.

I believe I read an article somewhere indicating she's in an Ontario warehouse.

If I recall correctly, the True North people didn't exactly leave a place for Her Majesty. But it would be a nice touch (though she's aged quite a bit since that was painted).

One thing I've noticed is the number of Sun Belt players I'm seeing on USHL rosters -- made up primarily of 16-20 year-old players who would be the first to benefit from the Sun Belt exposure. The local team just drafted a bunch of guys from Minnesota (of course), but also picked three players from Phoenix. The leading scorer in the USHL this year was from Plano, Texas. Of course, Popeye Jones' son is a draft-eligible player this year. He's listed as being from Dallas, but he fell in love with hockey when his dad was playing for the Raptors.

NBC already really ignores about 25 of the existing NHL teams anyway -- basically anyone not formerly in the Patrick Division (the Isles and Devils excepted, they're on the "ignore" list) or Detroit. It doesn't really matter which division they're in.

    In storage.

    Linked earlier on this thread.

No offense 'Peggers, but that place was a dump when I played there, and she needs a brow wax.

Fair game, the Metrodome was a dump as well..
