How much do they forecast property taxes to go up?

Has the Goldwater Institute weighed in yet on the management fee?

So far I've seen a lot of "We're going to take a very serious look at this, and thanks for putting us on TV again!" from the Goldwater Institute. I don't think they'll have a leg to stand on with this, but they'll milk a little publicity.

The Goldwater Institute is interested in only one thing, making sure the Goldwater Institute has a reason to exist. Darcy Olson doesn't get paid the big bucks if the Institute was actually successful.

How many pro hockey franchises have failed in QC? Nordiques never made money. In order for a team to succeed in QC government would have to pay for the new arena.

Times are a hell of a lot different now then they were then. A team in Quebec City would make a ton of money.

    How? There is no arena.

THe arena is being built regardless of whether an NHL team is coming, which will eventually happen anyways. They could play outdoors and lose less money than the Coyotes have.

How you figure they would be more successful there than in Hamilton, Kansas City, Milwaukee?

Quebec City is building a new arena, so that's one advantage. Kansas City ties them there. I'd imagine ticket and media revenue would be higher in Quebec City because brands want to be tied to hockey. Not too many people give a crap in Kansas City. Plus, the Canadian dollar is at parity with the U.S. dollar.

Hamilton and Milwaukee are non-starters unless a new arena is built. Seattle would be a better option.
