And guess what? Prime Minister Harper may call a Canadian federal election next week so there'll be nuts everywhere.

There are a lot of people that believe that.

There are jut as many scientists that believe that as well.

The Earth does heat up and cool off in cycles. Man may be helping the cause, but global warming is not entirely man-made creation.

In the words of The Big O - get a shovel will ya.

One last thought, I promise. I have a cold. Nothing serious, didn't keep me from the day job, but it sure would've kept me from doing any public speaking.
What if McCain catches the same cold in the next month? The Rasmussen overnight found that two-thirds of voters didn't know enough about Palin to form an opinion. Suppose she's being introduced to them not as the lounge act, but the performer in the big room?
Maybe she'd pull it off like a star. Maybe.

Without passing judgment on any science involved, people want to believe that global warming is entirely man-made. That's a somewhat comforting thought, because it means that if only we drive hybrids/carpool/regulate factories, etc., then we can make a major difference and possible fix the planet.

It's much less comforting to think that all we have done is greatly increase what has been a natural cycle. Because then, there is a limited effect we can truly have. People want to believe they can make a difference and effect real change.

OK, that's fine. But there's no harm in assuming that global warming is man-made. There is potentially great harm in assuming that it isn't.

Said it before, say it again: as a broad population, we cannot afford to be wrong on this issue.

The right says that trying to fix the "problem" would wreck the economy.

So in their eyes, there is harm.

I don't know. How fucking dumb can your mixed doubles partner be? And does that mean everyone else who is voting GOP is dumb? I'm sure, in your incredible arrogance, you think anyone casting a vote for McCain is stupid.
