They'll have to get the guy who just worked the week in Denver. Hopefully he's also still available for work in Minnesooooooota this week.

Not sure where you got it, but if the passport thing is true, that's unbelievable. I suppose you didn't need one to visit Canada at the time, but for God's sakes. It's one thing to be inexperienced in foreign affairs, but to have never been off the continent?

EDIT: It was in the NYT, so it's not just a blog thing. Not entirely clear if it was her FIRST passport, but it would have to be her first as a politician and/or adult.

Didn't Bush have a similar lack of experience in world travels before he became governor and/or GOP nominee? I can't recall.

Just strikes me as incredibly incurious. And I really, really despise that trait in a presidential candidate. Or VP candidate, as the case may be.

Privacy . . . I understand the whole "public figure" thing.

But I guess I just want our national political dialogue to have more class.

And to draw a comparison between Michelle Obama/Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin is disingenuous. Not saying that the rest of the point is or isn't valid. Just that Sarah Palin is running for office; Mrs. Obama and Mrs. McCain are not.

Privacy ... no. Everything's open when you're running for office.

Rumor-mongering? I think the boundaries of fair taste can be applied. Yes, even in politics. Like I said, I'm all for seeking the truth -- but have a little professionalism.

Oops...could this fail on McCain sooner than later?

I really think this pick might have come off a little better had it been Mitt Romney-Sarah Palin.

When Romney lost the nomination to McCain, that is exactly the ticket I was thinking about for either 2012 or 2016.

Now I wonder what will it look like? Palin-Romney? Or do you all think whether they win or lose, she is done in national elections for a few cycles and just runs Alaska or goes for Stevens senate seat. I mean shit, if everything breaks down and they lose, and Stevens is convicted and still wins re-election, the US Senate would decide his fate and then a special election might take place.

In that situation, would she run for that seat if they lose the bid for the White House? Should she?

Thanks to incredibly dishonorable people like spinning.

  12. All those Republicans spreading "Obama is a secret terrorist Muslim" rumors are great Americans, though.
