Wrong, Fudge. McCain is likely a one-term president. People are voting between Obama and half McCain-half Palin.

Let's review: Old, old man whose age/health is one of his biggest negatives (among moderates, anyway) chooses woman who is two years removed from being a character on "Northern Exposure" as his running mate.

How could anyone who's on the fence be swayed to this ticket?

A staunch liberal that was an Illinois Senator a few years ago, who IS a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

I don't think Democrats should be attacking the pick because of her experience...if anything being a Governor (yes, even of Alaska) is better preparation than a 1 term U.S. Senator.

McCain was going after the SportsJournalists.com vote with the pick

    Bold emphasis is mine

    The situations aren't even comparable.

Mondale was VP on Carter's run in 1980 where he got his ass kicked by Reagan.

Mondale ran for President in 1984 because the Dems had to at least throw someone out there and he got his ass kicked even worse. The Dems knew Mondale had NO CHANCE AT ALL to win in 84' and picked a woman VP candidate as a last ditch effort to not lose as bad.

Palin is attached to a legit candidate to win and is being used to help gain extra votes, not to gain ALL the votes like Ferraro.

What time is Charlie Crist announcing his engagement is off?

That's because Fritz vs. Reagan was like let's look at this week's college football schedule, ah. Chattanooga vs. Oklahoma.

Obama may be a 7-point favorite over McCain, but a roster activation is starting to turn heads in Vegas.

Big difference. Obama WON a national primary campaign. He was chosen by voters as the nominee of the Democratic party.

If Sarah Palin had run for the Republican nomination this year, she would have been laughed off the stage.

Biden should have fun in the VP debates.

btw, how many of those unhappy Hillary supporters are going to vote for a woman who is defiantly against reproductive rights?

Some people wondered how a president with polio could function as president. One lasted four terms.
