They're measuring the drapes in the Oval Office.

    Good.

Do you know why it is called a NANNY cam?

    Preserve that.

There's going to be a magnificent double standard debate on this, because no one would challenge a father with a 4 month old Down's baby. But a mother who would choose to run for VP instead of taking care of her challenged newborn is going to come under some serious scrutiny, fair or not.

I consider myself a John Q. Public when it comes to politics and this pick makes me think of a desperate attempt to grab a rope when you are sliding off a cliff.

So when he dies of old age, this is the leader of the free world? This is who we bring to the table against the Taliban, China and Mother Russia?

Jesus, the Germans just decided to get up off the ground as well.

A very exciting election just got a whole lot more exciting.

When Obama picked Biden, Mr. Lugs said, "It's a Leo McGarry-type choice."

This is the Geena Davis pick.

It's friggin 'West Wing' versus 'Commander-in-Chief.'

If it's true, I love the pick, as I said here a few days ago that I would. This is no gimmick. SHe's right on all the issues, and was the best of a bunch of flawed candidates. I'd have been fine with Romney, but I think this is the better pick. If I were confident, and just needed to not blow it, go Romney, but I think he's behind and needed a jolt, which she will give him. Her biggest negative is her lack of experienced, which is completely neutralized with Obama at the TOP of the other ticket. For the 2nd time in 2 days (and in 12 months), I'm impressed by the McCain camp. Maybe he has a shot afterall.

Again, she's two years removed from being a real-life character from "Northern Exposure."

    I guess, 21.

    It's not anti-woman, though, I don't think.

I believe it is probably because most people think of Michael Keaton getting dominated in Mr. Mom when they think of the father trying to handle those duties.

The double-standard may be that Biden really has to kid-glove her, without seeming patronizing, in the debate. It's a Wallenda wire, with no net. Andrea Mitchell just conjured the recollection of Lazio browbeating Hillary on MTP

Wayne Allyn Root might have a shot now.

Dude... THAT was one of the FEW arrows McCain had in the bag.

He don't have it any more.

Why? Going after her inexperience only draws more attention to Obama's lack of experience. If they go after her too much, they risk alienating the HRC supporters they are so desperate to get.

They also don't get to use all of the footage they've been compiling of Romney ripping McCain from the primaries.

Obama is still the favorite, but this was something they probably weren't prepared for.
