They have to be careful. Women may really like Palin. If the Dems say too much about it, they risk pissing off the Hillary supporters.

Palin has another issue that hurts: a huge, huge percentage of voters have never heard of her. Obama may also be relatively inexperienced, but he's been a well-known name for 4 years. You have to follow politics fairly closely to know who Palin is, and the vast majority of voters do not.

A GOP candidate going with an unknown 44-year old attractive mother of 5 from Alaska as his VP pick sounds like a movie comedy. A bad movie comedy. It's farther out than the Quayle pick.

I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad pick. It's certainly an entertaining one. But it's risky as hell, in a way most other possibilities were not.

I had to post this kids:

    Headline briefly on yahoo:

McCain taps Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin

There's breaking news huh? What would John Edwards say?

and every argument against Obama is going to be, "You can't say that; he's black."

And her whole claim to fame up there is that she cleaned it up. Maybe not, if Ted Stevens likes her.

I have no idea what to make of this choice yet.

I do know that my friend, who is a staunch Democrat, told me earlier in the week, she's voting for McCain. She said she would've voted for Hillary, but not Obama. And I nearly fell off my chair. There it was was, right in front of my face.

Bill Clinton I'm sure has has Palin on his radar.

So if the GOP wins this thing, Palin in 2012 vs Hillary?

Nope, while on the other hand, McCain leans on having been a POW.
