If you think he hasn't been treated differently during the primaries or the general election because of race, you are clueless.

To be fair, he's not playing the card, but it impacts things.

This is a ballsy pick. Not saying it's the right pick, but it does take those women who were up in the air and give them a viable alternative. Plus, for better or worse, it brings the attention back to the McCain campaign for the moment. Last night Barack delivered a good speech, today McCain delivers a "holy shit" moment.

This, to me, is the real reason this choice was made.
Pandering of the highest order.
