Re: GOP VP thread: So who will McCain name today?

Yeah, yeah. She's a reformer, blah blah blah.

And less than two years after winning, she tries to have her ex-brother-in-law fired as a state trooper for divorcing her sister.

Honestly, how much of a history can she have if she's only been in office for 20 months? As for before that, I'm guessin it's a bit easier "to get things done" when you're up against the local Wasilla, Alaska town council than it is when you're dealing with the United States Congress and foreign nations.

Sorry, but this is just a laughably bad pick for the country.

John McCain isn't putting country first. He's putting Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove first.

A 72-year old, two-time cancer survivor, is putting the fate of the country in the hands of a woman who believes that dinosaurs were Jesus horses.

She made a conscious decision to have a special-needs child. It wasn't a surprise. And four months after that child is born, she's making a conscious decision to drastically reduce her role in his life. No one's saying she should have had the abortion. But if she's gonna act like a fucking superhero for deciding to raise the kid, maybe she should, you know, raise the kid.

Exactly. Now, of course we should care more, and obviously many of us care about the VP choices, but for about 99 percent of the voters, it's a simple choice - Obama or McCain.

She comes from the land of the ice and snow, of the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow.

McCain would have done better to pick this Palin:

Where did it say she's a creationist? I read a couple of pieces on her and didn't see that mentioned.

She has more true executive experience than Obama has in his little . . . pinky.
She also has more of a record to look at on how she has worked to change an old-boys network that in no way wanted her as governor. She knock them on their asses and she WILL do the same to Obama or Biden if given the chance.

I will say again, you are underestimating this woman.

Is anyone going to be comfortable with her heading the GOP ticket in 2012? Because that's a distinct, indeed likely, possibility.
