  1. I have no idea, GB. I do think it would appeal to independent women. But again, I'm not convinced the VP makes much of a difference in who votes for whom.

  2. Any so-called "PUMAs" thinking about jumping ship might need a reminder of this hilarious joke from a few years back?

"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? ... Because her dad is Janet Reno!"

    Ha ha ha ha!

    Depends.
In my pants? Not at all.
When YOU step in it? Hi-lar-ious.

Thanks, Bird. I got it going every now and then.

I know this much - a lot more people will be watching her speech in St. Paul next Wednesday night. Welcome to the big stage, Ms. Palin. You're not in Juneau anymore.

I think independent women by and large are smart enough not to give in to shameless pandering and might actually expect their chosen candidate to have more in common with them than anatomy.

That's the point, Lyman. It speaks to how lame-brained the notion is that this choice is gonna draw disaffected Hillary supporters away from Obama--which, I'm sure, is what McCain and company had in mind. I bet it drives even more Hillaryites that were formerly on the fence toward Obama.

Nobody's claiming Biden has experience running a business. He has 30 years of foreign policy credentials, to go with all the other areas he's worked. NOBODY, even you, could say he couldn't step right in (and actually helps Obama in the foreign policy area).

Your girl was mayor of podunk, then governor of a state that has fewer employees than, say, Newark, NJ. That's the TOTAL extent of her "executive'' experience that you'll be touting for the next two months.

Where exactly does Sarah help McCain?

  9. That's embarassing.

    Diet or Coke Zero?

He went to law school in the 70s or 80s (I'm not looking it up) and didn't use some blow? Let me know if he is still using.

Her stance on abortion alone will drive a lot of women away from her.
