OK, when I started reading this thread, there were 24 pages. by the time I got done, it's at 37. Not once did I see any such question (which surprises me considering the SportsJournalists.com Masturbation Nation's familiarity with porn): Doesn't she look like she could be Savanna Samson's twin sister?

That piece hammers the point home well, but respectfully. Regardless of how impressive a person she is, only one year and a half in office during which Alaska has been riding a booming oil prosperity wave has tested her on virtually nothing, she has faced incredibly little political adversity in her life to be in this position.

  3. "Fahrenheit 451" comes to life:

According to the Frontiersman newspaper, Wasilla’s library director Mary Ellen Emmons said that "Palin asked her outright if she could live with censorship of library books.” Palin later dismissed the conversation as a “rhetorical” exercise.

Jack Cafferty is chewing some serious ass on CNN and The Weekly Standard guy is getting schooled by Wolf Blitzer.

And the secret is out - the web based "Pick Paulin for Veep" campaign was funded by Air America.

Dude, the fact that McCain only met her once before today is proof that this was solely tactical.

  6. I seem to remember a thread the other day about how none of us were talking about the GOP VP selection process.

Guess that got put to rest today. :)

I have major issues with the pick, but I really hope that we don't criticize her parenting. To me, that's as off limits as it gets.

It's becoming increasingly clear that McCain wouldn't take Romney and so this is who Rove picked for him.

For the love of God, John.

I think the proof that Palin is unqualified is that she didn't disqualify herself.

I think it's off-limits only if her party doesn't beat the mommy drum too much. And you know they will. It's unseemly to hold up any politician as a paragon of family values, and when they go that route, they get zero sympathy from me when someone wants to dispute it.

My take is that this is going to get way worse before it gets better.

This has fail written all over it.
