I've seen a couple blogs call her Danielle Quayle.

I talked to some women, who said they were insulted by the pick, simply because of the presumption that they'd suddenly vote for McCain because he picked a woman.

This will backfire on him, especially because his choice not only smacks of pandering, but of his committee's rashness and ill-preparedness. For weeks, Pawlenty/Romney are the favored choices who were presumably given the full vetting. As some have attested to, it seemed like they suddenly panicked and decided that they needed to pick a woman, and Palin comes out of nowhere. Given the reasonable doubts voiced by many here, the choice reeks of desperation. How do you not fully vet your VP choice? Doesn't speak well to McCain's leadership either.

I'd take Palin over Leggett. He sucks.

Presuming blue font, I agree with you--I'd think most Hillary backers would be smart enough to see through this gimmick--especially given her right wing views. But, then again, a quick google scan to see what the PUMA crowd was saying only uncovered crap like this (http://www.hillaryis44.org/,
). Maybe it's all bogus shit coming from Republican plants, I don't know, but the Hillary sites all seem to be raving about Palin and still wildly bitter.

Hillaryis44.org is a GOP disinformation operation. And at least one of our banned trolls is a registered member there.

Yes, HillaryIs44 is a Republican plant site.

One of the news orgs did research into these sites -- they all have just a few dozen members who make most, if not all of the posts.

I figured it might be, doesn't surprise me. But, damn, they've got like 800 or so comments after every posting. That seems like a lot of phony posting.

If you knew the dude who got banned here -- and at two other political sites, mind you -- before becoming one of their most prolific posters, you wouldn't be surprised by that number at all.

No way in hell he'd have picked her if she wasn't a woman.
He put gender over what's best for the country. And that's insulting, to women and men.

Hard to top this for logic.

You'll forgive John McCain if he actually decides to go through with the formality of campaigning until Election Day, won't you?
