60 posts and you've completely outed yourself as a tin-hat wearing troglodyte.

    Well done, sir.

    Well done.

You are talking about a guy running a campaign that has more people working for it than the State of Alaska?
I don't begrudge Palin, I just expected more out of McCain, I really did. I love surprises. They are fun. But I don't want to wake up every morning for the next four years wondering whether "Maverick" is going to do another surprise flyby. "Maverick, Your Ego is writing Checks My Body can't Count."

Truth is, this board would be bashing any McCain pick. True? It would just be a different bash fest if it had been someone else.

Gooch Man: Not a broad brush. But why is it no one here would think it's "progressive" that McCain picked a woman? It seems we have very different rules for how we define things based on the party involved.

I knew what the VP is constitutionally supposed to do (preside over the Senate and cast tiebreaking votes if necessary), and what in fact he (or she) does do, which ranges from nothing to serve as the presidential consigliere, in about fifth grade.

    It ain't that tough.

If that happened now, he'd be a visiting professor at Northwestern or Chicago. And he wouldn't be wearing that stupid hat.
