Didn't someone do one on the new ESPN book? Duh, as I'm typing this I'm gathering it probably wasn't them.

Three in four months is getting a bit repetitive. I agree on the first two and will take your word on Hagler/Leonard, but the form is bordering on cliche already, and any more would be hurdling over that invisible line like Edwin Moses.

It's a series they're running, and it's been one of the more successful things they've done. Then again, the best oral history I've read lately was by SI on Major League.

I only click it on slow mornings at work (once a week, usually on Thursdays). Don't have time for it at home.

Heck, if they could pull it off, they should do one a week. These are facinating.

I could certainly use the money.

I think 21 locked up rights quite a while back.

Pete (and his stunning knowledge of Martin van Buren, you have no idea) is a contributor to the novel, and therefore an equal partner. If anyone is smart enough to buy the rights and let us finish it, we split everything 12 ways. Although at this point we'd be lucky to get paid in M&Ms and Starbucks gift cards.

Pete would like the Starbucks gift cards no doubt.

Same. It was quite a bit before I went back to the site where a friend shared a link about Fitzpatrick and Buffalo. Good piece about Fitz, however, filled with the typical slams against Buffalo and WNY.

I'm totally fascinated by posters like Pete who have been here so long and have so few posts.
