Have they hired him? Or are they publishing a single piece?

Aaron Gleeman of Hardballtalk tweeted that Grantland added him as a regular.

That's a rather impressive get. And I'm not even a major sabermetrics fan.

Does me pointing this out actually mean I've contributed something positive to this board? Small steps.

Also, in his initial post, James misspelled Jordan Zimmermann's last name eight times.

Not nearly as annoying as his constantly using "which" when it should be "that."

Ehh, for the most part the two words can be kinda interchangeable.

The old layout reminded me of an obscure quarterly journal you can only find in a research library. I mean that as a compliment. No frills, lots of white space, a tad demode but trusty.

I imagine ESPN told Billy Boy he needed to make Grantland look like the rest of ESPN's websites.

This one will get a lot more hits, so I don't blame them. But that first one had an elegance to it.

It's not that big a deal. I'm a HUGE James fan. But he's been published nationally for more than 30 years, and I can't believe no editor has ever called him on it, or at least gone in and put commas before all the "which" clauses.

Even as an editor, that shit's annoying. It's amazing how much time is wasted at my work arguing about stuff like that.
