I drive the family to Florida every year for vacation. Big Shake's in Franklin, Tennessee is always the lunch stop on Day 2 of our odyssey.

There's nothing you guys shouldn't like! Tomato sauce, green pepper rings and salami. That's a good hoagie ... and then processed American cheese? What more do you want?

    Tripe? ;)

Not sure what's worse, Skyline chili or Altoona pizza.

If you are ever in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and driving on Highway 41, stop at Tino's Bar in Negaunee or Ralph's Deli in Ishpeming. Get the Cudighi:

The central UP is about the only place that used to make cudighi sausage (my mom still brings me a few pounds of Mama Russo's brand which is packaged locally).
Imagine an Italian Sausage soaked in red wine, cinnamon and a touch of mace pepper on a crusty Italian roll. Shown here is pizza style, but I like mine with yellow mustard and raw onions as well.

Revello's is No.1. Been going there over 30 years now.

If we're doing sammiches, go to Alleva Dairy on Grand Street and get the Chicken Parm hero or the Meatball hero.

I've done Pepe's and Sally's and even had the mashed potato pie at BAR. Modern Apizza is the best in New Haven and it's not particularly close.

You might have to make a reservation at the BarBill. Seriously.

Wally's is the local's nickname, it's officially Wallenwein's Hotel on the Interwebs.

I didn't know you were in the 716!
