"After the Gold Rush" by Neil Young occurs to me.

    "Blackbird" by the Beatles.

    "Perfect Circle" by REM.

    Two outstanding choices, MM.

I listen to WW all the time, for hours on end, and never get sick of it.

  7. Great song, got it on my mp3 player ... much better than the Jack Johnson version my daughter makes me listen to on the Curious George soundtrack.

Great, great call. You can probably list a dozen Beatles songs, but this might be the best choice. I'd also throw in Norwegian Wood and Two of Us and although not simple in the same way as Blackbird, for some simple, catchy rock-n-roll, I'd add And Your Bird Can Sing.

Oh Lord, if I thought long enough, I could name dozens.

Without sifting through the list, here's a few off the top of my head:

"Cat's in the Cradle" - Harry Chapin

"Tears in Heaven" - Eric Clapton

"The Monkey and the Onion" - 10cc

"The Captain of Her Heart" - Double

"Against All Odds" - Phil Collins

"You And Me" - Alice Cooper

"Crimson and Clover" - Joan Jett, et al

"Candle in the Wind" - Elton John

    "Heaven" - Bryan Adams

"Jack and Diane" - John Cougar Mellencamp

"Man of Constant Sorrow" from the sountrack to "O Brother Where Art Thou".

Unlike every song mentioned here it has almost no electronic 'meddling'. Someone mentioned Green Day - great song - but so electronically 'adjusted' that it doesn't even sound human to me.

  12. We're gonna be friends is acoustic.

Speaking of, I can listen to the Nirvanna Unplugged album all day long ...
