Somewhere out there in bootleg land there's a smokin' version of Bruce joining Dave Edmunds on this one in concert from the early 1980s (Sept. 18, 1982 at Big Man's West in Red Bank to be precise)

Edit: You can download a copy of it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?akm30ztlnjl
(can't find a streaming one where you can just go to the website and play it)
The Mediafire website is safe to download from and the file was upped by a Springsteen fan that I trust, so you can download it virus and spyware free.

Timothy was written by Rupert Holmes, who also wrote The Pina Colada song.

Take the Highway, Marshall Tucker Band

  4. I think the Tuckers "Can't You See" is one of the most underrated great cuts of all time.

I dunno about GNR's best song, but the end is great.
Here's another underrated tune by Guns N' Roses -- "Locomotive". It starts off with a really tasty bass line and turns into this epic.
Oh, and you wanna talk forgotten great songs...."Jar of Cardinals" by Guided by Voices. If Paul McCartney would have written and recorded that song in 1972, he would have made enough money to buy Poland.

Little late on this thread so I dont know if anyone has chimed in with this one but there's a few Petty songs out there that require a mention:

A Woman in Love (It's Not Me): Mike Campbell's guitar work is frickin awesome as usual in this one.
    Louisiana Rain: Great lyrics!
Out in the Cold: Should've gotten much more radio play!
