Any love yet for The Wonder Years? For my money, that's the best drama series ever produced.

But I also remember an episode of Punky Brewster where Henry has a heart attack and nearly dies and the state tries to take her away for fear that he'll die and leave her alone.

For the record, perhaps people should mention their age when they post. A few on the first page only mention programs that aired within the past decade. I echo friend of the friendless, but I never could have identified specific episodes of The Twilight Zone.

I don't recall the last Cheers, but I know I watched it. I'm sure MASH has been mentioned at least a few times. It seems that Happy Days had a few amazing scenes. And Knievel has to be in there somewhere. I don't know that I could do a top 10, but a top 100 might be possible.

can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet, but i really dug "thirty-something" in the late '80s. maybe it was 'cause i was newly married and soon to enter parenthood, but it really hit on many issues common to, well, 30-somethings. even if many criticized it for being too whiny. that's what made it real.

several terrific episodes, scenes, including the first season chanukah/christmas stuff inter-religious marrieds -- like mrs. shockey and i -- go through. also terrific guest episodes featuring dana delany and chelsea field.

the ep where gary is killed is tremendous, too, for those who can recall.

Punky Brewster was such a great show. And that scene was incredible. The love from both sets of eyes is so vivid in my mind.

I love Blink's "I Miss You," but it probably doesn't do this scene justice. But this is the only video of that scene I could find:

He's not bad at that either. :D

This thread is making me remember scenes I had forgotten I'd ever seen. And making me envy those of you who have such great memories.

What's the use in having a good memory? You'll just get old and forget everything anyway.

    WAH WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Hill Street Blues has gotten a little love here, but I think one of the greatest scenes ever came in the episode where Buntz was taken hostage by the nutcase he had arrested years earlier. He gets suckered to an abandoned warehouse and is bound up to a chair. The episode ends with him charging the guy and knocking him through the window.

That episode right there convinced me that Dennis Franz was a great, great actor. He continued to prove me correct through the entire run of NYPD Blue.

Season 1. Episode 1. "Miami Vice." "In the Air Tonight."

"I need to know somethin', Caroline. The way we used to be together -- I don't mean lately, but before -- it was real, wasn't it?"

"Yeah, it was. You bet it was. ... Sonny, what's wrong?"

    "Nothing, Caroline."

And love, love, love the way that scene begins. You hear nothing but the haunting music for about 15 seconds ... then the hollow sound of Tubbs loading the two shells into the shotgun one at a time.

To whomever posted the Scrubs clip, goddamn you. I've been listening to the song from it -- Winter by Joshua Radin -- for an hour straight. What a great song.

As far as great scenes go, I still remember watching Twin Peaks, probably the first episode, when the news of Laura Palmer's death began to spread. There was this particular moment, when the principal is announcing it over the school PA, and the camera is kind of drifting down this empty hallway, lockers on either side, his voice echoing in the space.

I haven't seen that scene since it first aired, but I can remember it so well, it almost frightens me.

    I'm not seeing it, Tom.

    The rest is fairly exquisite.
