I figured if this didn't get a response, I'd just throw my thread-starting ideas into the closet and lock the door.

Yeah, a couple people have PM'ed me links and I'm dying to see them. I thought it was just my lame-ass router.

Do we look at the news side?

Sorry, I could not find the exact broadcast.

Go about 55 seconds in and then 1:45 mark. I wish I could find a better clip.

I posted this clip earlier, and I was right then and I'm still right now.

You guys are mostly way too recent:

Lucy having her baby on "I Love Lucy"

    The Mash series finale.

Archie Bunker and Sammy Davis Jr.

    Johnny Carson's final show.

    yup, that's the one.

thought you might have confused it with this:

  10. You've cited all the great ones except:

"He called you an 'inane drone.' What is that?"
"Well, it's kind of a dull bee."
    "You are an inane drone."

    And,
    "You broke my Rigoletto!"

I always thought the one a couple days before, where Bette Midler sang to him, was better. One of the few times he ever really lost it.

One of my favorites was the episode of "Newsradio" after Phil Hartman died. The last scene, where they're all reading the letters from Bill, was alternately touching, funny and heartbreaking. By the end, you could see the real emotion from a cast that had lost a great friend. The last part (not on this YouTube clip, sadly), where Jimmy has Bill's desk taken out was also a nice final touch.
Of course, since there seems to be some kind of cable embargo on Newsradio reruns, we'll never see this on TV.

Also, I'm shocked that we've made it three pages and no one's mentioned the dog dying in "Jurassic Bark" (Futurama). For shame, SportsJournalists.com. For shame.

    SPOILER ALERT

Do not watch this if you have never seen Band of Brothers.

This scene was not expected and not built up, but it punched you in the stomach just the same.

I could probably find 10-15 worthy clips from this series.

If you have seen this, I cannot see you keeping a dry eye.
