I mentioned the last one earlier, but it's so good, it probably deserves a third.

There are way too many great scenes from television to name off because everyone has named off nearly each one I remember.

    I'll add a few:

-I know there are two camps, for and against, but "The Sopranos" finale got everyone's attention.
-Another one from Tony and Co. was "Pine Barrens." There were so many one-liners between Christopher and Paulie in that episode I can't stop laughing.
-the final scene from "Cheers" when Sam tells the patron "We're closed." (I don't think that was mentioned yet)
-Fen mentioned MTM: the finale and Chuckles. Chuckles cracks me up every time.
-the "Newhart" finale was too damn brilliant.
-Whoever brought up the "Friends" prom episode, thank you. The look on Rachel's face when she saw the video and realizing that Ross had a crush on her was humbling.
-Boy Meets World was a show I didn't start watching until the last three seasons. I can't bring myself to watch the final episode again. It's so powerful and heartwrenching.
-it may not be a great scene but I thought it was done nicely. The "Sex in the City" episode when Miranda's mom dies and the girls travel to Philly for the funeral. The banter between Sam and Miranda was funny and even uncomfortable in front of the church. Then it changed dramatically when Sam quietly mouths "I'm sorry" to Miranda and then breaks down. As the coffin goes down the aisle at the end of the funeral, Miranda walks alone and started to lose it. Carrie jumps out of her seat and walks with Miranda heading out to ensure that she wasn't going to mourn alone.

That scene was the first time I ever shed a tear for any show for several reasons: it was first time that I actually watched a full episode (on syndication that is), and I was a fan of Miranda. Given everything the girls have done in the series, Miranda was the one, IMO, had common sense and was realistic about herself and what was important to her. To watch her walk down the aisle without a husband/significant other/BF, after she told the girls about how her sister-in-law didn't want her walking by herself was tough to watch.

Some of you are probably too young to remember this, but it's here for the watching:

  4. I knew that was legendary, but I'd never seen it before.
Thanks for posting that, Yawn. (Didn't think I'd write that anytime soon)

Wonder Years: Kevin and Winnie, freshly broken up, leave the art museum in different buses as God Only Knows by the Beach Boys plays.

Futurama: You'd expect the dog episode ending to be here, and okay here it is. But a slightly better one is the final scene of the Globetrotters episode. For a show about a time-frozen moron and a bunch of freaks, it has suprising depth.

Cheers: Final scene of final episode: "Sorry, we're closed." A classy, understated way to end a hell of a show.

WKRP: Tornado episode, either the boss or Fever talks a girl to safety.

The Shield: Lemonhead gets a grenade lap dance, but the buildup to it is what made it work so damn well.

M*A*S*H: Final scene from the Tuttle episode, which for my money is the best of that lot.

Seeing that episode several times still makes me clap and go "gotcha" at Archie when Sammie plants one on his cheek. My grandmother recalled seeing it for the first time when it originally aired. My grandpa and her were in tears laughing and celebrating in the living room, watching Archie gets his commuppance.

Don't forget the WKRP episode that was made as a tribute to those who died at The Who concert in Cincinnati. Great episode.

After going through this thread, I have noticed that my condo is quite dusty.

A definite "Holy shit" moment. What a great show. Damn writer's strike delaying it's final season.

And, I wanna thank everyone for their submissions because I've gone on Blockbuster and added a few shows to my Queue that I wouldn't normally have (i.e. Scrubs, Futurama, Boy Meets World, Freaks and Geeks and Sports Night)

Deadwood S1 finale: Rev. Smith's brain tumor is overtaking him, and Doc goes on a profane tirade to God about what purpose could possibly be served by keeping him alive. He finally calls Al Swearingen, whose relationship with the Rev began his swing from conscienceless badass to badass we love. Watching Al euthanize the Rev with a pillow was pretty gut-wrenching (for Al, too).
From the same episode, on the lighter side: Bullock and Alma let nature take its course.

That was a great show around the time of the first clip with Ross and Rachel. Somewhere along the line it lost me. I didn't like what they did with Chandler. I know a lot of people (and pretty much every female I know) loves the show, and I'm not knocking it. I just think it went downhill, but was very good early on.

A few of these clips were pretty damn good. I watched the Wonder Years when I was younger, but I don't really remember that final scene, or maybe was just too young to appreciate it. Solid stuff.

Might I offer this, Christopher's intervention on the Sopranos. One of the funniest moments from the series:
