    The opening theme to "Friday Night Lights" sets the tone for what is the best show on television. (No, it's not done by Explosions in the Sky, but by W.G. Snuffy Walden.)

    Oh, and for best theme songs when it comes to live TV sports, "Roundback Rock" (NBA on NBC) will always be No. 1 for me. "Roundball Rock" made John Tesh cool.

    The NBA has never been the same since NBC lost the TV rights.
