In NCAA '04 I moved Hofstra up to the Big East (back when Miami and VT were still in there) and after going 3-8 the first year I went 8-3 then won three national championships and three straight Heismans on the second-hardest level.

Also once in NCAA '99 I was Syracuse and beat Michigan 103-0 in a five-minute game.

Speaking of 35's run with the mighty Pride, it's ridiculous that NCAA still won't let you start your I-AA team in its own conference. It's been three years, I'm tired of trying to take the current version of my UMass Minutemen up against the Big East. Let us get something started in the minors first, for God's sake.

Tex, I agree, but you can move the majority of the A-10 into the Sun Belt, which is fairly equivalent to, well, the actual Sun Belt as the A-10 might be equally competitive as a conference.

Oh yeah, forgot this one. In that same year -- I was pretty damned good -- I ended up playing the then-Syracuse quarterback online. He was there randomly, and I beat him 17-10. It's really the only online game, save for a last-second Hail Mary to win, that I remember.

    That's a fantastic idea.

It's amazing who you can meet playing those games online.

While I was playing with the Lakers, Kobe Bryant did not attempt a single shot.

I was playing NCAA football '04 for a long time, and started a dynasty with Baylor. After winning a couple national titles I switched to Madden '04 for a while, then came back to NCAA just to sim games and save a few draft classes. Just by recruiting and simming, my Baylor team won something like 59 straight games and four straight national titles. I was in total shock.

My lowest moment is, in Madden 06, trading Lavar Arrington, a first-rounder and Patrick Ramsey for the rights to take RB #5 (a.k.a imported Reggie Bush from NCAA Football). Second game of the year he snaps his spinal cord and is out for career.

  12. That game was nuts. I once gave up 11 runs in the first inning and thought it was all over but the crying. I led heading into the third inning 13-11.

RBI baseball was the opposite extreme. Craig Biggio once broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run homer in the 34th inning off some pitcher throwing 50 mph heaters because of the dumb five-pitcher rule.

Another Tecmo Bowl story...defense was my strength as well as my brother's (get a good noseguard who can dive), and we played almost every day. Championship of our tournament, last play of the game, he faded back to throw a end-zone-to-end-zone pass, but I safetied him. Final score: Chicago 2, Seattle 0.
