Oprah's audience just watches her and they react as she does.

  2. I only got to see a little bit and that's what I saw. Can't wait to see the whole thing but it looks like they cut in a lot with the VT stuff.

I wanted to hear what Common and Simmons had to say.

  4. Re-watched the Whitlock-Sharpton-Bandele confrontation ... Whitlock didn't win that ...

The Spelman girls are talking about when they protested Nelly's arrival to the campus.

Other than that, what more can be said? Oprah's minions do whatever she does. You have to take into consideration about what Al is good at. Sharpton's strength is out-talking people and not letting anyone cut in. He'll ramble all day long just as long as he can keep someone from talking. That's what he's good at.

As I mentioned on another thread, the Meet the Press panel on Sunday did a far better job breaking this down in a civil way that any other program or group.

BTW, Oprah will never let Ludacris, 50 Cent, or Young Jeezy near her studios. Simmons will get in because he's a "business man" as Oprah is a "business woman."

So tomorrow, Russell Simons and Common will be on. Oooh, hard-hitting when it comes to gangsta rap. Run DMC was sooo nasty in the 80s, and Common's lyrics of love and spirituality are sooo degrading, especially when put in context with his animal rights and PETA initiatives ...I imagine the publicists for the ones who should be on the panel tomorrow - 50 Cent, Snoop, Dr. Dre, Young Jeezy, even Nas - said no as quickly as they hit the deck when the police arrive.

From what I saw Sharpton and Whitlock agreed on more than they differed. They both think education is important, and it's horrible that kids are told speaking properly is "acting white." They both believe being a thug doesn't equate to celebrating your blackness.

Do you actually believe Oprah would let anyone like 50 Cent, Snoop, Dr. Dre, Young Jeezy or even Nas on her show? She doesn't even like having Ludacris on her show.

She'd gain more credibility if she did. ... Instead we get Russell Simmons, famous for promoting Run DMC, LL Cool J and Beastie Boys. Hard hitting gangsta stuff.

Please don't put Nas in the same class with those guys.
