Why? Nas' grandparents took him to plays and operas and shit, his mom a well-known jazzist, and he's rapping about his gun. And that's AFTER he sold-out and realized to be a commercial hit, he had to be more gangster.

Whitlock's recent columns dealt with Al and Jesse. Oprah's show had an all-encompassing slant. It wasn't about Al and Jesse on Oprah.

Yeah but look at Nas's recent stuff.

P.S. Yeah, he rapped about his life in the hood. But there's nothing wrong with that. Just because his dad(Olu Dara) played jazz, dosn't mean he didn't live in the hood.

Disagree on Ludacris. This is a man who, if memory serves, thanked Oprah and Bill O'Reilly in his last Grammy speech.

I'm behind on my Ludacris ... but i think he's trying to clean up his act.

Sarcasm. He thanked them for causing controversy about his lyrics, which in turn helped sales ... Oprah during his "Crash" cast appearance and O'Reilly for whining enough that Pepsi yanked his Super Bowl commercial deal.

Ludacris took a couple jabs at Oprah on his last CD. And he had this on O'Reilly a couple years ago ...

Shout out to Bill O'Reilly, I'ma throw you a curve
You mad cause I'm a THIEF and got away with words
I'ma start my own beverage, it'll calm your nerves
Pepsi's the New Generation - BLOW IT OUT YA ASS!

... but yes, Ludacris has become a lot more serious with his lyrics of late.

I don't now why, but the picture of the poodle staring at me next to the Oprah/Hip Hop graphic makes me laugh.
