ESPN's having facilitated the modern overpaid athlete's conviction that he SHOULD have his ass kissed 24/7 has done more
damage to the journalism business than any print reporter ever did . . .

  2. I wonder what Billy Beane thinks of Ozzie Guillen.

Hawk Harrelson on the Red Sox pregame show about Guillen. "The comments he said about Mariotti, they're all true." Just felt the need to throw it out there.

There you have it. From Hawk's beak to God's ears...

Sean McDonough (no, I'm not going THERE) once called the Hawk out on how much of a homer he became after he went to Chicago. I'm old enough to remember his TV work with the Red Sox, and he brought energy and enthusiasm to the job that stopped short of being just a lame homer (though it probably took years to extricate his prominent proboscis from Jim Rice's anal cavity).
The Hawk may just be Ozzie's Joseph Goebbels.

That one was around 2004. Interesting to bring it up because of the double standard clause. Dusty gets off scot-free and not Ozzie? Talk about your preferential treatment... ::)

Ozzie's the Billy Martin of the 21st century. Why take disciplinary action against him? It'll be more fun to see him self-destruct.

Please, terrier, do not relate Ozzie Guillen -- a basically good guy with a loud mouth, no filters and no sense of political correctness -- with a drunken, despicable, low-life piece of trash like Billy Martin.

Actually, Doc, spoken like someone who heard a constant stream of anti-semitic, racist, bigoted bullshit out of the drunken scumbag's mouth.

Hawk is 20 times the homer McDonough ever was.
