Billy F. Gibbons played with his old band, The Moving Sidewalks.

The occasion was the first show in 44 years from his pre-ZZ Top psychedelic rock band, the Moving Sidewalks. Gibbons said his idea was to find a way to mimic the liquid-projection effects psychedelic rock bands used to show behind them in the sixties without using screens that would distract the audience.

"I thought, what would make this a psychedelic moment?" Gibbons said in an interview Sunday morning from his hotel room at the Waldorf Astoria.

    More:

For the project, Gibbons went to his go-to luthier, John Bolin of Bolin Guitars. Based in Boise, Idaho, Bolin has prepared custom guitars for Gibbons for more than 35 years, while also working on projects for Jimmy Page, Steve Miller, Albert King, Bo Didley, and the Rolling Stones's Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood.

"I called John and told him I'd measured the iPad Mini and that there's just enough room between the neck and the pickup to slam an iPad in there," Gibbons says. "John said, 'Uh oh. When's the show?' I said, 'ten days.' He said, 'Does that include time for FedEx delivery? It got here just in time.'"

    That kid's awesome (and he's actually 15, not 125 ... :D).

Bonus: the hot chick walking around behind him while he absolutely rips it up.

I have a humble question, members and moderators.
Fart was given an acoustic 12-string guitar.
It does not currently have strings on it.
And I noticed there is a separation beginning where the neck attaches to the body on its back.
Like the glue or whatever is giving out.
I am afraid to string it because I do not know if the pressure would cause the neck to separate completely.
Can it be repaired, and if so, could I do it myself?

Guitars can be repaired, but in most instances you do not want to attempt it on your own.
    It's a pretty specialized field.

And sometimes with lower-end guitars, the cost of repair is more than the value of the guitar.

Also, 12-strings have more tension than a six-string, so it could be a problem.
Do you have a shop in your town that does repair work? Can you post a picutre of the damage?

This is for you beginning pickers and strummers:

    D A G D F#m Em A7 D
Such a feeling's coming over me. There is wonder in most everything I see.

    G A F#m B7
    Not a cloud in the sky; Got the sun in my eyes;

    Em A7
    And I won't be surprised if it's a dream.

    D A G D F#m Em A7 D
Everything I want the world to be is now coming true especially for me.

    G A F#m B7
And the reason is clear; it's because you are near.

    Em A7
You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen.

    D G
I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation,

    D Em D D7
And the only explanation I can find

    G A7 D G
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around.

    D Em A7 D
Your love's put me at the top of the world.

The ladies in Shonen Knife speed it up a li'l bit.

Actually, they first covered this on a Carpenters tribute album that came out in the 1990s.
