    Rok, you can take the image of that gun out of the equation for the NRA. At this point, it's more about money than guns for that organization.

    Very true. The guns are just the means. It could be anything for those goofballs.

    It's also more about the Republican party than guns anymore for the NRA, as the governor of Montana pointed out on Maher's show last night.

    I'm not so sure that last statement is exactly correct. Police have taken a MUCH more proactive stance since the Hollywood bank robbery and shootout.

    And gunmakers have helped them through sweet deals.

    Good, because that was just sick and wrong.

    Cops should never face that type of situation, whether it's a crazed loner or drug gangs. That was an embarrassment.

    That wasn't the first time they've been in a spot like that. During the University of Texas tower shooting in the 60s, Austin cops hit a pawn shop for scoped hunting rifles that could reach the top of the tower.
