    I'm a freelancer and found my best client through a posting here, so it's not an exaggeration to say the food on the table and the toddler's diapers can be traced back to SportsJournalists.com.

    Can't say I really know many people here past their screen names, but it's great to send/receive random PM's and talk about anything under the sun.

    Webby and I go way back, so it's fun to say I knew him before this place. Kinda like knowing the star QB when he was a pimple-faced geek in middle school, before he got the girl, the car and the state championship :)

    I thought that was some inside joke or alternate name for Toronto. I was willing to roll with it. It sounds like a place that means business and wastes no time.

    Actually, I consider SJ's birthday to be Oct. 18, 2001. That was the date I first registered the domain and shortly thereafter it was launched.
