Every holiday that comes down the pike on our collective calendar, we always see the same threads pop up on SportsJournalists.com
With the same commentary and same derisive and divisive commentary.
Whether it's Juneteenth, MLK Day, Easter - or whatever.
    My, we certainly are consistent.

That's because W is, uh, a slow reader and needs more time.

    MLK Day - Check
    Easter - Check
Juneteenth - What's this one? (just kidding)

Actually it is a coincidence of history that Lee was born on Jan. 19 and King on Jan. 15. Virginia was celebrating Lee long before MLK Jr., was born. That is also true for the other states that have Lee Day as well, they all came first. So it is looked at as a racist slap against King, when it really wasn't.

Not so! Everyone loves March 14! Except maybe vegetarians, but there's still something in it for them too!

A friend in Oklahoma tells me their dream is in deep freeze and all parades are shelved for fear of damage from falling trees.

Are we in agreement that everyone loves Cinco de Mayo and Fat Tuesday?

I'll see those two, and raise you a St. Patty's Day!
