I still am not comfortable about spoiling it here.

needless to say, the reputed spoiler I read yesterday in which EVERY major character dies appears to have been in error.

and, if memory serves, the spoilers posted a couple of weeks ago by the guy who claimed to have hacked the publisher were also in error.

I just skimmed the plot summary on Wikipedia. I've never read any of the books. But I've watched a few of the movies, which are probably one-tenth as wonderful. Frankly, I may not be bright enough to follow this stuff. My wife's favorite character is Snape, and I haven't got the slightest clue who that is despite having watched two movies. Everybody seems to have long hair, a beard and a cloak, or at least two of the three. Villains become heroes and the opposite, it seems, with every new installment. It's too much for me to follow. I can pick out Ronald Weasley at once and maybe that girl. That's about it. I can't wait for the stage play.

I called the wife at 11:56. She's at Books-a-million with about 600 other people. She says she's in the middle of the line. And these are just the people who have pre-ordered. If you don't have a golden ticket, no book for you tonight. I figure 10 registers splits the folks into 10 lines of 60. If you figure four minutes per person, it'll only take them about four hours to clear the store. That means the wife should be home about 3 a.m.
