    Muahahahhahaa.

Or if the Super Bowl will be settled by punt, pass and kick. Or the NBA Finals by free throw shooting. Or the World Series by home run derby.

    Not. A. Sport.

It's not every day you see an unworthy champion like Italy, is it?

Excuse me, but didn't Italy become the first team to beat Germany in Berlin with one beautiful goal, then another to clinch it 2-0? Yeah, so unworthy.

Let's see: They only allowed one goal in the tournament. One. But they're unworthy. Right.

    Italy 1, United States 1
    France 1, Italy 1

Like it or not, the own goal counts as a goal allowed. And it was neat to see Italy see firsthand what a real foul in the penalty box looked like.

Italy didn't beat the USA and were actually outplayed by them. Italy got a gift from some higher power to beat Australia. Then Italy played an overachieving Ukraine team.

Italy admittedly played well the last three games, but I can't remember a team more undeserving Italy winning the World Cup. Not because they didn't play stout, organized, suffocating defense. They did. And it's not because Italy wasn't opportunistic. They were. Trademarks of a champion. But the flopping, diving, crying, whining, cheap shots and Holy Jesus Christ Almighty, It's a Fucking Miracle injury recoveries make this team very difficult to acknowledge as a true champion.

Ooh, Italy allowed two goals the whole f'n tournament. That makes them frauds.  There you have it.

A team dove? No! They whined? Gasp!

Fact is, they did what they had to do to win.

    End of story.

    See you in four years.

Let me rehash my post since you obviousley didn't read it. I'll even copy and paste something you missed.

And it's one thing to whine and bitch and dive. To do the way the Italians did (throw in the cheap shots), they take it to an level where you can't respect them.
