Has the AP moved a photo of Zidane's headbutt?

    Laughable.

Italy has to play up to a standard that you feel is acceptable?
That's complete garbage. It's the World Cup. Teams do what they have to do to win. In 2006, no one was better than the Italians.
The Italians flopped and dived and whined and cheap-shotted their way to a title! So did the 1970's Raiders and late 1980's Pistons. Do they have to give back their titles because it wasn't an accepted standard?

At least we know who the Azzuri bet on the past few weeks.

Italy doesn't have to play up to anybody's standard but the standard to win. They did that. Good for them. They won the World Cup and nobody can take that away.

I guess this is hard for you to figure out. You're saying the Raiders and Pistons took dives and cried? Yeah, I beat Thomas, Dumars and Laimbeer were holding their faces and limping to the bench every time they drove the lane and got bumped on the hip. No, they fucked you up hard and dared you to try to come their way again. Same with Oakland. Those teams did the hitting, not the other way around. Detroit was called the Bad Boys for a reason. Oakland has a reputation for being thugs. To my knowledge, neither of those teams have reputations for being whiny little bitches.

Pictures of the aftermath, including many of the dead Italian laying on the ground. Then, touched by the hand of God, he recovered.

The only way AP is going to have a picture of the head butt is if it's a screen capture off TV.
If you look at the video on YouTube, the head butt happened behind the play, where two guys were just walking upfield doing nothing (as many soccer players do for a good part of every game  ;D)
It's doubtful any photogs were even paying attention to that bit of non-action prior to the head butt.

Besides, does anybody really think a picture of the head butt should be the lead art on ITALY WINNING the World Cup?  Secondary art, at best.

I was tempted to use it. But since AP never moved one, I found a much better shot to centerpiece.

The Thomas-Dumars-Laimbeer Pistons didn't flop? What team were you watching? They took flopping to an artform. And they moaned like they were having orgasms 15 times a night.

There had to be 4 million photogs there. Not one got a picture of the headbutt?

    I like this one:

I'm surprised you would even consider using a photo of the headbutt as lead art if such a photo existed. As spnited pointed out, Italy WON the World Cup and the head butt had little impact on the outcome. Why that would be your lead art and not a shot of the Italians celebrating their victory is beyond me.
