    BTE-
Oh please, this place is very tame, was even in its wild west days. I've been on forums that would curl your toes.
Here outing (not doxxing) is the cardinal sin.
A few of these fucking places they'd post where your kids went to school.

Not really. Not being an asshole all the time ≠ never saying a cross word to anyone.

I tend to reserve my "Fuck yous" for you, since I find you to be a ridiculous person and don't mind telling you in myriad ways. For someone who claims to have me on ignore, why do you even care?

I'm not here to talk about the past.
    Remember alt.flame from Usenet?
It was a little like that.
You walk into a bar like that and you ought to know what to expect.
I mean (laughing) here the arch-villain was a dude who repairs coffee machines.

This thread is a lot more fun when you sing the thread title to the tune of "Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?"

Imagine repeatedly losing a battle of wits against such an antagonist.

There were also more trolls. There were also younger tempers.

Like Will Patton becoming the bad guy heavy in The Postman when he’d been a loser nobody in real life.

One of the best things about going to SJ.com gatherings back in the day—and the best part was that they were mostly really fun—was realizing that the posters here, even the board stalwarts, were just people. Somehow the handles and the anonymity and the volatility could make people larger than life. Then you meet IJAG or Clubber or Dooley or whomever and you go, Oh God, they're just semi-normal men and women who like to eat chicken wings and shoot the shit. Once you put a face and a voice to someone, it changed how you perceived them. Nothing deflates a villain especially than finding out who he or she really is. Real life does a lot of levelling.

It is hard to imagine after seeing someone fitting that description only win such battles in his own imagination.
