one of the greatest internet success stories is jdate -- the jewish one. several of my friends have met their wives on there. the original owners were recently bought out by match.com. needless to say, they made a fortune.

 

I don't think there's anything wrong with meeting a woman online, but I still prefer to get my women the old fashioned way:
Lying in wait and then ambushing them with bad jokes and an a capella version of Dire Strait's 'Romeo and Juliet.'

 

There's more and more people having success with Internet dating. Look at all the online personals sites out there. I don't think its considered all that taboo anymore.

It's probably a similar situation to 10-15 years ago when you'd have a friend set you up on a blind date.

 

This is accurate. Why online has remained taboo for as long as it has, I'll never understand.

Sorry, but drunken bar hookups suck, IMO. Online's a great way to meet people that you'd never otherwise meet. As friends or lovers.
