Was Chalky building a bookcase in his last scene? If so, awesome.

That was a shame. I was hoping to see more of those two girls.

    Jimmy's gonna go apeshit now.

My bet, he'll team back up with Nucky to declare all-out war on Philly.

They also seem to be reviving the topic of the Black Sox scandal, which they touched on early last season and then more or less dropped. With Nucky now sharing a lawyer with Arnold Rothstein, undoubtedly the topics will weave together.

On a follow-up on "Hung" -- has it been renewed for next season?

Because it seems like they're wrapping things up.

Well, at least Angela got away from Jimmy like she always wanted to.

And forget about Jimmy. Richard Harrow's the one who's gonna freak out. Angela was the only person who treated him like a human being.

The Black Sox trial started in July 1921, so that's where we must be in the storyline of the show (I think Memorial Day a few episodes ago — when Jimmy made his big speech — was the last specific date that was mentioned). The eight White Sox players were acquitted on Aug. 2, and banned for life from baseball the following day. The signed confessions of Joe Jackson and Eddie Cicotte went missing during the trial, so maybe one of the bootleggers — Capone or Luciano perhaps — will play a role in making them disappear.

I agree that Richard will be the one that loses it totally. I would like to see more of the Black Sox stuff with Rothstein, but don't know if they'll add that in because it's not really part of the story line.

Yeah, I think the Black Sox stuff just came up in the context of Nucky getting a new lawyer. It was a such a short trial, and there's already so much going on, that I doubt it comes up again other than in a newspaper sitting on someone's desk.

Jimmy's going to go running into the open arms of his loving mama.

And Richard's going to be the face of despair.

(Although I thought for sure Richard and Jimmy's wife were going to hook up. Surprised it didn't happen).

  9. Manny warned Jimmy not to fuck with him when they joined alliances.

I guess we know why, now. Damn...that was cold-hearted

That was a great scene overall, just well acted and well scripted. And boy is Manny one cold-hearted fella.

Also, I think Jimmy might run into the arms of heroin.

To be honest, I don't think he ever wanted that. He just wanted to be treated as an adult by Nucky. And when he didn't get that, he let his mother, the Commodore, Eli and the rest manipulate him into helping strong-arm Nucky out of the way.
