Actually, Jimmy is pretty smart - his instincts are usually correct. His big problem is allowing himself to be plowed over by the stupid but stubborn people around him.
Damn, I miss plucky kick-ass Margaret.

    Just caught up.

My wife thinks Jimmy's mom is involved in the murders of his wife, but I don't see how that's possible.

Shocked at the sudden demise of The Commodore. From a TV production standpoint, they paid Dabney Coleman a lot of money to basically do nothing all season.

Count me in the group that expects Jimmy and Nucky to reunite...then burn down AC. Figuratively, if not literally. Its clear they've only got each other.

Has she really been watching the show? Mickey Doyle gave away the address. Although I don't think Jimmy's mom is saddened by the turn of events. By the way, Gretchen Mol has done a great job with that character, IMO.

So, is Mickey Doyle actually some guy with a Russian name, and is he a Fed informant?

Or is he just in bed with Van Alden?

What got me about the scene of her talking with Jimmy was how she made sure to mention that Angela was with another woman and this was something she probably did often. She didn't have to say that, but it was just another chance for her to show Jimmy why his mother is truly the only woman he needs in his life. Their relationship is so fucked up. I have sympathy for both of them as they each were thrown into terrible situations really young.

    He's hiding that he's Jewish.

While she isn't exactly Meryl Streep, Gretchen Mol was fantastic in that final scene. So creepy with her grandson and telling Jimmy that she'd be upstairs. If I'm Jimmy, maybe best to sleep downstairs given how turned on she was the last time that she saw you commit an act of violence?

I think that the conflicted Jimmy from the first couple of episodes was the best that the role had to offer and it really came back here.

After her reminiscing a couple episodes ago how she "kissed Jimmy's winkie" when he was a kid, it's kinda weird that Jimmy is leaving her alone with HIS son.

Wasn't he an infant? How would he know?

I don't think he's worried that she's a pedofile, but I'm sure that he's at least conflicted about her being in his life in any way. He knows she is incestuous, but molesting her grandson is probably not a specific concern.

In retrospect, the death/suicide by Nucky was apparent. I think Nucky had to kill Jimmy because he still was a threat.

Ballsy move by Winter. Not sure it makes Season 3 as interesting, but holy cow.
