Read that HBO did not renew the contract of Paz De La Huerta. While I applaud her for not having any problem in showing off her body, I will not miss that voice or her always calling men "Daddy"

Buscemi accepted an award the other night and mentioned that people are coming up to him complaining that they killed off Jimmy. More or less, he said he was pissed, too.

Really going to be interesting to see where they take the show now.

Basically they can clear the decks and start over with only Nucky and Margaret as main characters.

Pretty much everybody else has been killed off, written out or marginalized.

And the Nucky-Margaret storyline doesn't really have all that much more potential.

My guess is next year we see a lot more of the young guys (Capone, Luciano, Lansky) making their move. I could entirely see Van Alden flipping and becoming Capone's muscle if he's out in Chicago. And you still have Rothstein in New York and Manny in Philly.
And then there's Jillian. Kind of how the Jimmy-Eli-Commodore alliance was an internal threat to Nucky this season, how about a Jillian-Margaret alliance next season? Throw in Esther Randolph and make it a girl power trio after him - off the charts.
Nuck still has the Irishman, and hopefully the Man with the Iron Mask, in his corner.

Van Alden as Capone's muscle makes no sense. He would attract too much attention from the Feds, which is exactly the kind of guy Capone et al. wouldn't want around. Van Alden using his knowledge of the mob to rip them off makes more sense, and I hope is where they go with this.

They wrote themselves into a corner with Jimmy. Anyone who was a major threat to Tony Soprano was killed (or arrested), usually at the end of the season, in order to keep the Tony character strong. Same playbook here. (Michael Pitt's issues on set probably didn't help much).

Isn't she the one that revealed some major spoiler toward the end of last season before it aired? I read a rumor that they re-shot some scenes to work around that. Anyone know anything about that?

If Season Three picks up 15 months after Season Two, they'll have to spend half of the first two or three episodes in flashback sequences to bring everything up to speed.

IMO Richard would be really cast asunder by Jimmy's death. In 15 months he would either be dead or radically changed.

I agree, plus you know Jimmy's mom has gone off the deep end and Nucky is certainly not going to say "oh well" when Margaret tells him she gave all that land to the church.

    New season, no love?
How long before Gretchen Mol has at it with her grandson?
