Yes. I was fine with a ho-hum ending as far as carching Childress was concerned. The investigation was good stuff, but it was just a vehicle to tell is about these characters. Everything else was secondary.

And I love ambiguity in my films and TV. I like to explore stuff in my imagination. I don't always want everything answered by the writer.

I enjoyed season two, but not as much. It took me a few viewing to get the story because it was so dense. Once I got that down, I started understanding the four leads better. But it still had a lot of problems.

I'm excited to get a new story for another season. I like anthologies. I have enough shows that go on four years and get weighed down by continuity.

Nic Pizzolatto, who created the series, will write the entire season (except for episode 4) and direct along with Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room).

It's really a shame Pizzolatto and Cary Fukunaga hated each other, because Fukunaga clearly made Season 1 what it was, and seems like the real auteur of the two.

David Milch helped him write this one. I think it'll be pretty fucking good.

The longest-term plans in my life are now what I'll be doing on Jan. 13, 2019.
