Health crisis for Mary Lou Retton

If the Kellys/Rettons were smart, they’d get in front of this story instead of letting it be dictated by the media or even MAGA types.

 

Considering she endorsed Trump at a campaign event in 2016, the MAGA types probably were her biggest donors. And it's not like they aren't used to getting fleeced.

 

I'd greatly prefer that everyone involved in this shuts up and turtles up, and that Mary Lou heals fully.

 

I swear I’ve seen zero talk about this on Facebook or my office Teams chat, my default window into what the world at large is discussing.

 

All I’m saying is that if it’s a grift, it’s a terrible effort. They’re not exactly getting the word out.

 

It struck me that as "good" as TMZ is at being first with news of celebrity health issues - they seemed to have hit the same brick wall as everyone else did with regard to Retton and Jamie Foxx's health crises.

OK. I presume the financial/legal details will come out in due time. Medical too, since both sides (or all sides) of the anti-vaxx screaming match will want to claim victory here. There's a pretty hefty chunk of change involved here (high six figures I believe) so it's not going to just go away. But now that Mary Lou is up to reasonable posting health, it needs to be her, or her direct (legal) representatives, making public statements.

 

Again, on Instagram. And everyone accepts it as gospel. With what really happened to come out "in due time," no doubt in a interview that'll be nothing but batting practice questions.
