Yes, Ted survived. They showed him sedated in Sylar's old cell.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Pretty awesome episode. I'm wondering if Claire and the Hatian will head to New York where they can interact with more of the other Heroes.

One thing they need to do soon is get Nikki, D.L. and Micah involved with some of the other storylines. Other than her hit and the brief encounter with Nathan Petrelli, I have no idea what she has to do with anything and I'm starting to not really care.

Nikki/Jessica had that encounter with Parkman ... but I'm with you on beginning to not care so much about that plot line.

That's what I was referring to when I mentioned the hit she was on. But even that did nothing to explain her ties to the story other than reinforce that she occasionally works for Linderman (which we already knew after the Petrelli encounter). They need to do something with her pretty soon.

She also seems to have a fairly useless power. Two personalities, one with super strength -- which, of course, only comes in handy if she's within arm's reach of her enemy.

I would think the assignment to kill Nathan Petrelli will draw her more into things.

And she has racked up a pretty good body count for somebody whose power is "useless."

Great episode. It got a little dusty in the Batcave when Daddy Bennett let his little girl go. And I liked how they focused entirely on the one storyline and cleared up the questions.
Also left a few questions, though...

After the flashback to Claire's "origin", it makes me wonder if Hiro's father knows that his son has powers. And if he does know, is he planning on doing anything to control him?
From the trailer for next week, it looks like Simone is alive and well, just with some sort of green goop all over her. Is she a mutant, too? Some kind of bug lady? Or did Daddy Bennett just give Isaac a paintball gun?
Anyone think it's possible that Sylar is the one that explodes? Their powers seem pretty similar. I know we saw the dream sequence with Petrelli. But if Sylar can't handle super hearing, maybe he can't handle the nuclear man's power either. He'd probably be a lot less likely to care if he went boom than Petrelli would.

I've made this request on the '24' thread, but I'm going to do it here, too. Please don't reveal stuff from the previews for next week.

I may be alone (though I doubt it), but I rarely watch the previews for an upcoming episode of these types of shows because I know I'm going to watch the next episode. I don't need, nor do I want to know what's coming up until I see the show.

As for Hiro's father, my guess would be that he doesn't know about Hiro yet, though it's possible he has suspicions. In fact, he might himself have powers (Claire and Micah lead me to believe the powers are hereditary).

This actually leads me to a new theory ... Perhaps Hiro's dad does have powers and, like Bennett, he is protecting his kid. That's why he wanted Hiro to come home, so Hiro wouldn't expose himself to 'The Company' or whatever you want to call it and put both of them in danger.

I was surprised to see Eric Roberts in this show. He looked funny, though.

He used to be better looking that his sister but I think she'd got the edge now.

Interesting theory, but then why would he cave just because Hiro gets him to see that the daughter is more qualified to be his business heir?

I understand the complaints about next week, but I think people considered that to be covered under SPOILERS.

    Agreed.

As for Hiro, I'm not sure his father knows, or at least knew. I would guess that he knows now, and realizes that he's not going to be able to control Hiro, probably knowing how he would react. As someone said earlier, it seems hereditary. Maybe he did something like Hiro is doing when he was younger. I don't know. Just a thought.

Someone said earlier that they're not sure they can do better than last night. I don't necessarily agree. Someone else said earlier (yes, i'm useless for my own thoughts) that the writers/producers have given no reason not to trust them.

This is easily one of the top 2 or 3 shows on TV right now.

I agree with all of you - great episode. To me, the best so far this season. Lots of stuff was cleared up and the storyline kept moving.

Quickie: It was in "The Company's" best interest that he forget everything, right? That's why Haitian guy put his hands toward his face, right? And why did he shoot him in the lower-left abdomen? It didn't kill him.
