Yet it still happens. They can be more severe.

At this point, I will bring up something I have posted before. I am not fair on this topic. I am biased. My father started smoking when he was 12 and died from lung cancer. My brother was also 12 when he got hooked. I absolutely blame both of them for failing to quit, but I also blame the tobacco companies for selling a chemically-addictive product that kills people and relying so heavily on hooking minors.

How old is your brother? Not trying to make a personal attack, but if he is 50 or younger it is extremely difficult to believe he didn't know about the dangers of smoking. I have two grandparents who died from lung cancer/heart problems due to smoking. Growing up I knew how bad cigarettes were. I have smoked, fortunately never made it a habit and pretty much stopped when you could no longer smoke in bars or restaurants.

No he didn't. He asked whether the panic was overblown.
No you didn't. You proffered a link showing that second-hand smoke is harmful. Your "evidence" didn't address DW's post in the least.

For the especially dim-witted -- e.g., you -- DW's post encompassed both the severity of an event and the prevalence/likelihood of that event. Your ACS "evidence" mentions the likelihood/prevalence of SHS injury ... NOT AT ALL.

That is the same as questioning the seriousness of it. Dickie could have questioned my evidence the way you did, but instead he pissed on the thread and ran away, yet you are defending him and attacking me. Look in the mirror, doc. You might learn something, but I doubt it.

YF's favorite tactic when he has nothing, but he can't bring himself to just leave.

I explained the difference here to you. It isn't my fault if you are to dense to understand it. The equivalent action would be forcing the cookies down the kid's throat, because that's what a parent does when they smoke around a child.

These 5-year-olds need to learn about personal responsibility in regards to their dietary choices.

Oh, he knew, but he was 12. This is a chemical addiction. He was 12 when he made the decision to saddle himself with that chemical addiction. You think 12-year-olds are ready to make that call?

Even with the protagonist blocked, this whole argument looks dumb as shit.
