Up on the range, where the men are men and the deer are nervous...

Greenway High School also gave us Adam Hauser, U of Minn. goaltender.

Why is this pertinent, you might ask?n

Because Hauser had a rocky career that began his freshma year, when the senior goalie quit rather than split time with him. Hauser had to start every game.

He was up and down his whole time at the U, but managed to finish his career with a national championship win at the X in St. Paul.

And during the celebration, Hauser saw Sid Hartman in the tunnel. The same Sid Hartman who had ripped him his whole career, because it was likely the only thing he could think of to say about Gophers hockey.

Well, Adam Hauser, of Greenway High Shool -- located in Coleraine, though Hauser was from somewhere called Bovey -- walked up to El Sid and screamed directly in his face, "How you like me now?"

And that's why we should all root for Adam Hauser, who's playing net somewhere in Germany now.

 

Zeke, if the deer are nervous on the Range, it's because it's Deer Opener and all the little and big bambis in the state of Minnesota are going to get shot! (Say anything else and you are GROUNDED!)

Zeke, Bovey is right next to Coleraine, just like St. Paul is right next to Minneapolis. Leave it to a kid from "Da Range" to put Sleazy Sid in his place!

Now. Major trivia question. And it's not hockey or sports-related.

What is Bovey, Minn.'s international claim to fame? No Goggle-ing allowed.

Whoever gets the answer gets to stay up an hour past his or her bedtime.

 

Is Goggle-ing like Ogle-ing?


and yeah, anyone who screams like that at Sid is OK in my book.

I have never heard about Bovey except as Hauser's hometown, so I'm out.
