It's Gannett. I once applied for a job in the chain. Followed up with a call to the SE, who said nothing would get done until the ME came back from vacation the following week. Two weeks later, I talk to the ME, who said the SE was too tied up with a big local event and they would start moving on interviews the following week.

He also told me they had a preliminary list of about eight people he they wanted to talk to and I was on it.

Not even a week later, the position was filled. I found out later none of the people on the short list even got a call. Corporate had somebody lined up all along and that was it.

 

Every time I go to Rochester, Len Bias dies.
