Hillary and protection money, er, campaign contributions

The thing is, GB, his reasoning is that he typed it. Zagoshe, naturally missing the neccesary portion of his brain to function daily, can't possibly be insulting because anything that he types should instantly be taken as a joke.

Wait a minute -- why don't you tell that to Pastor? This issue would have died three pages ago had certain people not tried to back me into the corner and give me a guilt trip while sticking up for their pal.

I haven't insulted anyone and I am not interested in pissing contests but certain others apparantly are.

I am perfectly OK with sticking to this topic and the topic at hand but I am not going to let people try and bully me around and make me feel like I'm wrong when I know in this case I did nothing wrong.

I have clearly been the problem on other threads and in the past, I admit that and take ownership of it -- but this one is not on me. And maybe if some of you regulars would tell some of your buddies to let it go and stop being assholes -- the way you seem to have no problem doing when it comes to me -- we could move forward.

But you've pretty much labeled him as an idiot, meaning you think he doesn't have that capacity. So be the bigger man and use the button.

What's so hard about following that logic?

Because you instigated it, as I previously posted.

No, I wasn't joking when I called you immature because you clearly are and you are incapable of admitting that maybe you are wrong, that maybe your view of the world can use some tweaking.

I have no problem engaging in a normal, civil discussion and would actually like to, but I'm not going to allow you to make your ridiculous all-sweeping statements from the world according to Pastor without holding your feet to the fire on them.

You can have it either way -- you can keep trying to rally your buddies against me or you can settle in and return to the discussion. Either way, you are still wrong in your assertion about Hillary's campaign contributions, who they came from and how they differ from contributions to churches and what can be expected in return for them.

    Tread lightly?

Zeke -- when are you going to add something positive to a discussion? Seriously? And what relevance does that have to what has transpired on this thread? You are like a little spoiled child who just wants so badly to get some adult to notice him. It is very sad, really.

And I already admitted that I have been the problem on other threads, that I have insulted people on other threads -- as if I was the ONLY problem -- and said I am trying to turn over a new leaf and be kinder and gentler in my approach so I am not sure what your point is, other than to be your usual whiny baby self.

OK, are you saying that I started the personal attacks because I called a guy immature? That's the reason this thread melted down? Come on, you don't really believe that do you?

I understand wanting to help the guy but that is ridiculous.

    Perfect.

    Thanks for being you, zag.

Calling someone delusional and immature is name-calling.

Until that point, a discussion had been occuring. After, it devolved into the last three pages of this thread.

Ok, GB, well let's bigger people about it then.....

Why do campaign-finance laws exist in the first place? They are un-American, unconstitutional and frankly only increase the influence of certain powerful and wealthy people on American politics, not decrease it.

That's what this whole thread boils down to.

I can understand how poeple view campaign finance laws as unconstitutional.

But, if the top 1% of the American populace and American Business is able to contribute more than the rest of the country combined, doesn't that lead us to the situation we are in now where cronyism leads to no-bid government contracts for companies like Halliburton and Blackwater. The companies that donated vast sums to election campaigns have made far more than they gave from the contracts they've received from the government.

Well, the lefties did their best to change what this thread is about because they have absolutely no defense for Hillary. Way to admit it, guys.

Pastor, do you still think campaign contributions are tax deductible?
