Hillary Clinton -- Like her or hate her ...

I haven't decided how I feel about Hillary. I think she's a glory hound, but what politician isn't? I think she rubs a lot of people the wrong way, but a lot of those people simply have issues with a powerful woman speaking her mind. I'm gonna reserve judgment until she's actually asking me to vote for her and giving me reasons to do so.

But still, none of what she said yesterday is even debatable. And the fact that the board's biggest Bush administration apologist didn't even try to debate it is clear evidence of that.

She'd lap Shrub in an IQ test, too.

So disliking Hillary is akin to being a modern-day Archie Bunker?

    Puh-leeze.

Wow -- you criticze her for being power hungry and then look for another Perot?  That's comical.

I agree somewhat with Ragu -- I don't know what she stands for, other than the fact that she wanted to be a Senator and wants to be President.  She hasn't expressed any beliefs.  Disagree with Pelosi or Boxer (to name women politicians) all that you want, but you actually get the idea that they are passionate about the issues.  Not so with Hilary.

Singling out a politician for being power hungry is just stupid.

Calling her a bitch does seem a bit Archie Bunkerish, does it not?

In order to decide whether she's fit for to become President, you have to answer this question:

Is New York better or worse since Hilary became a senator? Six years is long enough to have an impact one way or another.

    I agree with Ragu.
She only ran for the Senate for 1 reason, to use it as a platform to run for pres., not to help her constituents.
I can't think of 1 thing she has done to make a NY a better state.
I'll give Chuck Schumer credit, he does make the rounds and has actually done some things.
Why the dysfuncational NY GOP can't get its act together and make an issue of that is beyond me.
Most NYers are fools, they fell for her act, "The First Lady."

She won't ever get the nod to run for president. Too many people feel one way or the other about the woman, which obviously hurts the party with the millions of voters who sit on the fence.

Yeah, and that's why she's winning re-election in a landslide, with so much strong support in upstate "red" New York the GOP couldn't find a viable candidate to run against her.

Disliking her is perfectly acceptable -- In fact, I join you in disliking her. But calling her a "power hungry bitch" is assinine in 2006.

Yes. Just "power hungry" without mentioning the gender will do even if it's a perfectly good description

And the fact she knew TV would be there is the only reason she bothered to show up.
Self-serving, aggrandizing, how good can I make myself look fool.
