Inky, I think shotglass is just trying to fuck with us.

That or he has been making great use of his namesake today. :D

Really, inky, I think that was Robin, not Stella.

    It was definitely Stella.

    It was Stella.
I went back and looked at the episode online just to make sure.
The kids were different and it was Stella.

But the more important question is, did Barney finally get his three-way or what?
Hippie girl and Stella's sister. Nice pull Mr. Stinson.

Barney definitely rode the tricycle. He won the belt, which he did say was his birthright, btw.

Good call. I completely forgot about the belt.

Speaking of running gags, isn't Marshall about due to smack the shit out of Barney soon? I may have to search youtube for slap bet clips later.

Ok, I'm watching the episode online and I just fell more in love with this show...

"I kinda get the no-exes thing. Why ask a failed romance to come and watch your successful one? You know, it's like inviting the seattle mariners to a world series game. it's just weird for everyone."

Ok, so there are two sets of kids shown in 2030 (or whatever year) in this episode...

the first one, where you see no parent, is a son and daughter where the daughter looks like Robin.

the second one is a different daughter (maybe same son, not sure) and an old Stella in the clip.

I'm sort of wondering if there is any way that Ted could end up married to Robin, but she's not the mother of those two kids. Ted falls in love with someone, gets married and has two kids, she dies, he reconnects with Robin, and they end up getting married. It's a reach -- obviously -- but it would explain one reason why the kids would be so interested in the story about how dad met mom.

    Because mom is not around.

That would explain why he is so willing to go into details of his relationship with Robin with the kids, which I always thought was a bit odd given that she is not their mother. At least once, I remember him telling the kids one thing regarding a sexual encounter, but we see something else on the screen (his last day with Victoria before she went to Germany).
